Do You Have Vision and Desire?

To make a change you must first want to make it. Everyone has a vision of what they want their lives to be. Is your vision clear? Helen Keller once said, ‘I’d rather have vision with no sight than have sight with no vision.’ It’s easier than you think to see to your vision. Just sit quietly in a room, close your eyes and think of your future. What do you see? What will get you to your vision? You have to know your starting point before you can see the finish line. Your vision is always set in the future and because of that, you have to create the desire to achieve it.

Desire is an intense craving to the point of sacrifice. Everything has a price to pay and your future is no different. You have paid a price to get where you already are, whether you went to college or worked your way through the ranks at your job, you are where you are because of you! What will your sacrifice be to obtain your vision? Sacrifice is hard. Believe me when I say that you will need a burning desire to realize your vision.

Whether you want to believe it or not, you are where you are right now because of the decisions that you made in life. Because of that, you must take responsibility for your life. Stop blaming others for your problems. If someone is fired from their job, who do they blame? Who’s fault is it really? After all, they did take that job in the first place, right? Responsibility is the total cause and reason why something does or does not happen. If you are willing to take responsibility, then you can do something about it. That’s called desire! Whatever you vividly imagine, ardently desire, sincerely believe and enthusiastically act upon must eventually come to pass.

I am here to tell you about the Three D’s: Desire, Decision and Discipline. We already know what desire is, now what? With a burning desire comes a life changing decision. We’ve already talked about that in a previous article, so we know that when we make a decision that means the alternative must die! We succeed, or else! With a life changing decision comes discipline. You have to have a plan and put it into action. You guys may know by now that I work from home. I know, that sounded like a big bowl of ice cream to me too, until about two months in. I realized that I was not being as diligent and disciplined as I needed to be to keep increasing my income. At home there are so many distractions and fun things to do than work. I had to rework my plan and have the discipline to put it into action. Now I still get to enjoy the fun stuff, but my work also gets done. How ’bout that?

Someone else has experienced every single one of the problems you have. Visualize what a mentor would do. Here is some food for thought. 70% of people wish. A wish is a dream without a plan of action. 10% will wish and feel desire. That’s great, but incomplete. 10% will experience a burning desire and occasionally act. Occasionally? You have to be consistently working toward your vision. 6% will experience a burning desire and occasionally act upon it with faith. Faith is belief without fact. 2% will experience a burning desire and consistently act upon it act with faith. There’s the consistent part, but something is still missing. 2% will experience a burning desire and consistently act upon it act with faith and enthusiasm. Enthusiasm, of course! Be a two percent-er and see your vision, have a plan, and be excited! http://www.PhillipMcGough.com is an Expert Online Marketer.
