What to know when buying bedding: Best Way to Change a Comforter Cover? Zebra Bedding or Plain? What are the Dimentions for a Queen Comforter Set? And Many More.
Feb 20th, 2010 Posted in General | no comment »When looking at the overwhelming array of bed linens available to us – duvet with comforter cover, regular comforter, bedding made of cotton, silk, flannel, and a hundred themes to choose from. How are we ever to decide which one will be better than the next? Besides style, what needs to be taken into consideration that will determine durability, ease of care, or textures that will ensure a luxurious night sleep?
Decide on the kind of bedding that will be best suited to you|First decide what kind of bedding you are looking for. Would you like to be able to change your bedding often, maybe for winter and summer or just to get a new feel in the room? Consider a comforter and comforter cover combination. Perhaps you live in a mild climate and find yourself content with one cover you completely adore and that you don’t mind caring for even if it is made from the finest silk.
Then consider the theme. Perhaps you’d like to create a visual focus in your room with something daring like zebra bedding, or yet again, maybe a neutral cotton will make you feel right at home. Listen to advise on this, but in the end this is your choice (unless you’re married and your spouse wants to have a say). Go with something that is going to make your bedroom a sanctuary, a place to relax and you.
Now choose the right size bedding. Consider the kind of bed that you have, when it comes to comforters, king sizes may well fit on some queen beds. Whereas if you have a platform bed, you may in sometimes need to go for full instead of queen comforter set. Sizes vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, look for actual measurements and see how test how it will look on your bed.
